We’re hiring for two leadership positions at Ava Ava Restaurant & Lounge:
🍸 Head Bartender / Mixologist (Full-Time)
We are seeking a professional mixologist/head bartender with the right mix of skill, leadership, and hospitality.
Duties & Responsibilities:
• Create and serve classic cocktails, signature drinks, and seasonal menus.
• Train, supervise, and schedule bar staff.
• Ensure bar is fully stocked, organized, and clean at all times.
• Manage inventory, order supplies, and control bar costs.
• Provide excellent guest interactions — engaging, welcoming, and professional.
• Maintain compliance with health, safety, and liquor regulations.
• Handle cash and POS transactions with accuracy.
• Work closely with management to coordinate promotions, events, and specials.
Requirements:
• Minimum 2–3 years bartending/mixology experience.
• Strong knowledge of spirits, wine, beer, and cocktail trends.
• Exceptional communication and hospitality skills.
• Leadership ability to run a team effectively and efficiently.
• Positive, people-friendly personality.
• Must be available for full-time, on-the-books employment.

👨‍🍳 Head Cook / Chef (Full-Time)
We are looking for a serious, experienced chef who can take charge of our kitchen operations and deliver exceptional dining experiences.
Duties & Responsibilities:
• Lead and manage the kitchen team — scheduling, training, and supervision.
• Plan and execute menu items with creativity, consistency, and presentation standards.
• Monitor food quality from prep to plate, ensuring excellence at every stage.
• Manage inventory, order supplies, and track food costs to maintain profitability.
• Control portion sizes and waste while maintaining high quality.
• Maintain a safe, clean, and organized kitchen environment.
• Develop prep lists, production schedules, and staff responsibilities.
• Work with management to plan specials, banquets, and private events.
• Handle administrative tasks (staff scheduling, reviews, food costing) with basic computer/Microsoft Word skills.
Requirements:
• Proven experience as a chef or head cook in a full-service restaurant.
• Strong leadership and organizational skills.
• Ability to calculate food costs and manage labor efficiently.
• Excellent knowledge of food safety, sanitation, and culinary techniques.
• Creative mindset with a focus on presentation and customer satisfaction.
• Reliable, serious, and ready to take ownership of the kitchen.
