We are currently seeking a dedicated and skilled Chef or Line Chef to join our kitchen team at a well-established restaurant located in the heart of Bay Ridge, Brooklyn.
– Position: Chef / Line Chef
– Location: Bay Ridge, Brooklyn, NY
– Employment Type: Full-Time / Part-Time
– Competitive pay – based on experience
Requirements:
– Minimum 3 years of experience in a fast-paced kitchen environment
– Preferred: Experience with Mediterranean cuisine (Greek, Turkish, Lebanese, etc.)
– Strong understanding of kitchen safety and food handling procedures
– Ability to work well under pressure and in a team setting
– Must be reliable, punctual, and detail-oriented
Job Responsibilities:
– Prepare and cook menu items according to recipes and standards
– Set up and stock stations with all necessary supplies
– Maintain cleanliness and organization of the kitchen
– Follow proper portion control and presentation guidelines
– Assist in receiving and storing deliveries
– Communicate effectively with other kitchen staff and management
– Help maintain food quality, consistency, and efficiency during service
– Contribute to daily cleaning and closing duties
